Thousands of litres oil spilled as tanker catches fire

Thousands of litres oil worth millions of rupees was spilled when an oil tanker caught fire near old airport Rawalpindi on Thursday.
According to details, oil tanker with thousands of litres oil caught fire due to unknown reasons reason resultantly traffic on both sides was suspended.
Fire brigade teams of Rescue 1122 reached the scene and started efforts to extinguish the blaze. The blaze was doused after efforts of several hours.
Meantime, the oil tanker was gutted completely and thousands of litres oil worth million of rupees was spilled. However, no causality or injury was reported in the fire incident.—INP
