Shoaib Shaheen, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming elections from the National Assembly Constituency NA-46 in Islamabad.

Asserting his commitment to the PTI, Shaheen stated that he will be contesting on the PTI ticket, and the party’s core committee, along with the legal committee, is diligently overseeing the ticket allocation process.

In addition to prominent political figures, a substantial number of lawyers are expected to receive PTI tickets, with the key criteria being loyalty to both the party and the country. The distribution of tickets among lawyers will be finalized under the leadership’s guidance of Hamid Khan. Shaheen emphasized that the stability of the Pakistan Party is not driven by a desire for revenge.

Addressing the media outside the Election Commission, Shaheen provided updates on legal matters involving the Chairman and PTI. He noted that the next hearing for the defamation case against the PTI Chairman is scheduled for the 30th December. Shaheen expressed concerns about individuals undermining the constitution in London, stressing that such actions were now being addressed.

Shaheen highlighted the challenges facing the party, noting that certain elements were attempting to impede its progress. He reiterated that the focus of the PTI is not merely stability but also a commitment to the betterment of Pakistan. Shaheen cautioned against turning the party into a monarch’s domain, emphasizing that such a perception could lead to public discontent. —INP
