Sarfraz Bugti steps down as caretaker interior minister

ISLAMABAD – Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar officially approved the resignation of Sarfraz Bugti from his role as caretaker interior minister.

Bugti’s decision to step down is in anticipation of his involvement in the upcoming elections.

Qadir Yar Tawana, the ministry spokesperson, providing official validation to the news.

The sources said that Bugti formally resigned from his position on December 13, attributing personal reasons for his departure.  The recent reports indicated that Bugti had contemplated resigning approximately two months ago, with the actual resignation taking place at this time.

The Speculations are circulating that Bugti is considering joining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and is in the process of arranging a meeting with the party’s leadership.

Having been associated with the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Bugti’s potential move is being viewed as a calculated political maneuver.
