ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s interior minister Sarfraz Bugti has resigned as caretaker interior minister to contest forthcoming elections that are slated to be held in February 2024.
Bugti, 42, submitted his resignation to interim prime minister on December 13. He is expected to join Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML-N to contest the upcoming elections.
Before his appointment as interior minister, Bugti won the Provincial Assembly elections from Constituency PB-24 as Baloch community representative from Dera Bugti.
