Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has castigated Israel for banning Juma prayers inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, compelling the worshippers from offering prayers in the compound outside and forcibly bulldozing Palestinians’ houses and killing protesters in Gaza and Al-Quds.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad also urged the international community to take notice of the sealing of the Srinagar Jamia Masjid for the 6th consecutive Friday by the Indian authorities to stop the Muslims from offering Juma prayers in the grand mosque.

At the same time, he strongly condemned continued house detention of senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, to stop him from offering the Juma prayers.

He said that India had sealed the Jamia Masjid to appease Israel and collaborate with the Zionist policies in Palestine. He added that the world should take note of such racist and neo-settler measures in both Kashmir and Palestine without delay to safeguard interests of the indigenous populations in the two regions.—KMS
