PTA shares new update for Free Mobile Registration in Pakistan; complete guide here

The system for temporary registration of overseas Pakistani and foreign nationals mobile devices is fully operational and people who are travelling to Pakistan can use their cell phones for a certain period.

Temporary Registration Facilitation allows tax-free registration of personal mobile phones for up to 3 months for visitors.

In the latest update, the regulator said Overseas Pakistanis’ or foreign nationals can register their mobile for 120 days from their date of arrival in the country.

Those who want to avail services are advised to apply using their own credential like Passport, CNIC, NICOP.

PTA shared the DIRBS system procedure to use the Temporary Registration Facilitation system.

Guide to Register mobile phones without paying PTA tax

First visit dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs

Go to signup and create account

Choose Temporary Registration and proceed

Submit form with personal details along with the password and click on submit. These details should be the same of those which applicant used for immigration.

You will get email and SMS for verification. Follow the link on SMS/Mail, and it will activate your account

Visit portal with your login credentials, and you will see a declaration form, and proceed to agree with the Terms & Conditions. Choose click on ‘Temporary Registration for Overseas Pakistanis/Foreign Nationals’.

Enter ID card number/Passport number, along with entry date and date of departure. Enter mobile network operator, and submit to generate six digit OTP, which you need to enter in OTP section, and it will activate your account.
