Provision of health facilities top priority of govt: Jamal

Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health and Population Welfare Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir said that provision of health facilities to masses was the top most priority of the government as it was on it as per the vision of Prime minister.

He expressed these views while addressing at medical camp held at Media Town Rawalpindi. He said that Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi was trying hard to complete public welfare projects in Punjab.

He said that Chief Minister Punjab for giving special importance to Rawalpindi city. Projects worth billions of rupees have been started in Rawalpindi. The Rawalpindi Ring Road project was stalled for many years but now the work is in progress.

He said that the completion of the project would provide ease of travel to the people at the local level. The construction of Dhudocha Dam will solve the problem of water shortage in the twin cities. The construction of the dam will provide 35 million gallons of water.

He said that steps are being taken to enable them as functional. No one paid attention to this before. For the first time, construction work is going on in the big hospital of Rawalpindi, Holy Family.

The minister said that beyond political and personal expediency, we are working in the field to give hundred percent. We have also talked to the Chief Minister of Punjab for the construction of Nala Lai Express in order to control the traffic situation in Rawalpindi. By ensuring the flow of water due to cleanliness in Naulalai, people were saved from flood situations in rainy season.

A medical camp will be organized in Media Town every month in which all the doctors and nurses of the related diseases will be present. Steps are also being taken to establish Medical Dispensary in Media town. The provincial minister also planted sapling in the office premises of Rawalpindi Press Club in Media Town.

Later, the provincial minister visited the dispensary in Media Town and reviewed the medical facilities. A large number of journalists from the twin cities were also present on the occasion.
