PNSC adopts modern technologies, equipment to boost sea trade: Rear Admiral Jawad

Chairman of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmed HI (M) has said that the PNSC will continue to contribute to the national exchequer by sea trade and for this purpose it has adopted modern technologies and state-of-the-art equipment.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Chairman & CEO Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik who called on him at the PNSC head office. The PNSC Chairman said the sea trade was pivotal for boosting Pakistan’s economy particularly in the current scenario and the PNSC is taking maximum advantage of this important maritime business route.

“Our vessels contribute to the worldwide sea borne trade in a multitude of trade routes and carry a wide range of cargoes for a number of traders and charterers of international repute. Our vessels are being operated by highly qualified and competent professionals”, said Rear Admiral Jawad.

He praised the Chairman of Pakistan Observer for his newspaper’s leading role in the media industry and its excellent track record with regard to safeguarding the national interests. Pakistan Observer, he said, is playing an important role in promoting good journalistic values and strengthening the media industry of the country.

He also briefed the guest about the PNSC’s current scenario and the future plans of action. Commending the initiatives taken by Rear Admiral Jawad HI (M), Mr Faisal Zahid Malik hoped that under him, the fleet of PNSC would achieve landmark success and contribute to the country’s economy.
