ISLAMABAD – The government has made it mandatory for the public to attend three-day training in order to obtain arms license in the country’s federal capital Islamabad.
In this regard, the federal cops took several steps and police will now train citizens who want to get the license.
As per the new directives issued by the Inspector General of Police, police will train those who want to get arms licenses, and the new license will be issued only to the trained citizens.
In initial phase, three days of training will be given by the Federal Police to the citizens. IGP Dr. Akbar Nasir says that the candidates will get training in police shooting range.
Earlier, the caretaker government issued stern directives about issuance of new arms licenses. Authorities also called for to tackling the challenge of terrorism and ensure the security of state and its citizens.
A strategy was formed for the protection of lives, rights, and properties of all citizens regardless of their religious or ethnic identity. All citizens have right to defend themselves to resort to violence.
- Fill up Arms License Form
- Attach one copy of ID Card
- Get verification from the Police Station, on filled up Arms License Form
- The applicant himself should appear before the DC along with copy of CNIC
- DC will then order for issuance of Arms License on form
- Pasting of tickets Arms License Form
- Submit the forms in Arms Licensing. The copy of license will be issued and applicant will purchase arm from arms dealer.
