The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Kashmir is one of the oldest disputes, pending before the United Nations for the last over seven decades, and has consumed too much human lives, so far.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Hindutva Bharatiya Janata Party Indian regime led by Narendra Modi has crossed all limits of state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir which is a disputed territory since the forcible military invasion by India in 1947.

He also praised the Pakistan caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar for reaffirming the country’s moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir while and rejecting the recent verdict of the Indian Supreme Court while addressing the special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

He denounced the inhuman treatment meted out to the freedom-loving people of Kashmir by the Indian forces’ personnel in every nook and corner of the occupied territory.

The APHC spokesman said India’s continued intransigence is the main hurdle in the way of resolving the lingering dispute and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion despite Indian state terrorism.

He appealed to the international community to put pressure on India to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.

Meanwhile, the APCH-AJK in a statement issued in Islamabad thanked Pakistan Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar for reaffirming his commitment to continue supporting the just struggle of Kashmiris.—KMS
