Jamadi-ul-Sani moon sighted in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on Thursday announced sighting of moon, officially declaring the start of Jamadi-ul-Sani in the Islamic calendar 1445 AH.

The committee headed by Abdul Khabeer Azad unanimously declared the sighting of the moon in the meeting held in Islamabad after evaluating witnesses and outcomes of zonal committees which met simultaneously in Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar.

Chairman of the committee expressed gratitude for the collective effort in determining the moon sighting.

He announced that the first day of Jamadi-ul-Sani will fall on Friday, December 15.

Following the RHC decision, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony issued an official notification.

The Ministry encourages the public to observe the month with devotion, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Jamadi-ul-Sani.
