ISLAMABAD – The federal authorities on Thursday announced winter vacations for schools and colleges.
An official notification shared by the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) officially notified winter holidays for schools and higher educational institutions in the federal capital in late December.
A notification issued by the Federal Directorate of Education said all educational institutions will observe winter vacations from 25 December to 31 December.
Furthermore, the officials also announced the school’s timings for all schools in urban and rural areas of the capital as cold wave grips parts of the country including the capital.
FDE also mentioned that revised school timings will remain effective until January 31, 2024.
It said classes will start at 8:30 am and will end 2:00 pm on Monday through Thursday in schools operating in single shifts. On Friday, the classes will culminate at 12:30pm.
For schools operating in double shifts, the morning shift will start from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays, the classes will end at 12:30 pm.
For the evening shift, it said classes will start from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday through Thursday, and on Friday, classes will start at 2:30 pm after Jumma prayer.
