The residents of the twin cities of Islamabad, and Rawalpindi are facing chilly weather in the mid of December and temperature is expected to drop further in the coming days.

In its fresh advisory,Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said cold and dry weather will prevail in Islamabad.

The temperature of the twin cities will stay at 15-25°C on Tuesday.

According to the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan.

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most areas of the country, while very cold in northern areas and partly cloudy in western Balochistan. Dense fog/smog is likely to occur in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

In next 24 hours, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in upper parts of the country, while very cold in northern districts and partly cloudy in western districts.

Met Office said fog/smog is likely to occur in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.
