Huawei participated in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Auto Show, where Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, made a number of important announcements.
First, he officially announced the second Huawei car – Aito M7. Previously, this model has already appeared in the database of the local regulator, thanks to which its key characteristics became known. For example, the maximum power of the power plant of the crossover will be 495 hp, mileage on pure electricity – 150 km, and gasoline consumption – up to 6.85 liters per 100 km. Aito M7, like Aito M5, will be a hybrid. But, unlike the younger model, the emphasis will be on interior equipment: they promise functionality and comfort higher than those of the Toyota Alphard and Lexus LM (in fact, this is the same luxury minivan). Why does Huawei look like a minivan when talking about an SUV? Because the Aito M7 will be big – over 5 meters long. And also because it will be designed for 6 people.
A page with the image of Aito M7 has already appeared on the official website of Huawei. While this is a “stub” – they promise to officially reveal the details at the end of June. Well, in early September, Huawei will have its first electric car. There are no secrets here – the same Aito M5 will play its role, only without an internal combustion engine and with a much larger capacity traction battery. The characteristics of the electric Aito M5 will be revealed in early autumn, as for the price, the electric car should be one and a half to two times more expensive than a hybrid.
