Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has expressed concern over the crackdown launched by Indian forces across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad condemned the arrest of civilians and relatives of martyred youth during cordon and search operations in the occupied territory.

He deplored that the Narendra-led Indian government by implementing its Hindutva settler plan was attempting to change the demographic composition of the occupied territory. He said that the Modi regime was using brutal methods to target the pro-freedom people by using its spying net-work to force them to give up their freedom struggle.

The APHC-AJK leader also denounced the arresting and harassing of those students of the National Institute of Technology Srinagar, who had protested against a derogatory video posted on social media by a Hindu student about the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him). He stated that no Muslim could tolerate desecration of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK Secretary Information, Imtiaz Wani, in a statement in Islamabad today, strongly condemned the genocide of Kashmiris, illegal detentions, disgrace of women and vandalism of houses and properties by Indian troops in the occupied territory. He said the Kashmir dispute is the issue of the freedom of the oppressed Kashmiris from the illegal occupation of India. He said that the Kashmiri people are offering unprecedented sacrifices for their birthright of self-determination and will continue their struggle until the goal is achieved.—KMS
