Expected petrol, diesel prices in Pakistan from December 16

ISLAMABAD – Amid declining international prices, the caretaker federal government is expected to provide relief to masses in Pakistan in upcoming fortnightly review of petrol and diesel prices.

Reports and $5.49 per barrel decrease has been witnessed in petrol prices in international market. They added that the Pakistan government is likely to decrease the petrol price by Rs13 per litre.

Furthermore, the diesel price is expected to be declined by Rs15 per litre as public is demanding cut in petroleum prices due to dropping international prices.

Earlier, the government had kept the petrol and diesel prices unchanged for first fortnight of December 2023 despite cut in international rates.

Currently, the petrol price stands at Rs281.34 per litre while diesel is being sold for Rs289.79 per litre.

Reports suggest that the new rate for per litre petrol would be fixed as Rs268.34 while the new price for per litre diesel would be Rs274.79.
