CM Naqvi addresses joint meeting of Inter-Provincial Bar Councils

Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi participated as a chief guest in the joint meeting of inter-provincial bar council at Punjab Bar Council Friday.

CM in his address made big announcements for the welfare of the lawyers’ community. Mohsin Naqvi while announcing the construction of a building on the plot adjacent to the Punjab Bar Council stated that the lawyer’s community should stipulate number of days to launch work on the plot adjacent to the Pakistan Bar Council adding that we would bring the cheque and would also lay its foundation stone. CM announced to operationalise the dispensary of Punjab Bar Council within ten days.

Mohsin Naqvi announced to constitute a committee in consultation with the Advocate General with regard to Lawyers Protection Act along with announcing to depute a police focal person for the lawyers’ community. CM assured that the notification of the focal person will be issued by tonight. Punjab Information Technology Board would provide complete assistance for the data centre of the lawyer’s community. CM stated that we have come for the caretaker set up but our tenure has prolonged a bit. It is our utmost effort to undertake the possible amount of work which we can complete in a short period of time. We are striving to the utmost to provide maximum relief to the masses adding that we are determined to complete our work.

CM stated that the media has a Chief Minister and Chief Ministers in KPK and Sindh belong to lawyers who are performing splendidly. It is my duty to resolve due problems of the lawyers community on a priority basis. Our government is lawyers-friendly. It is a matter of great pride for me to participate in the joint meeting of the Inter-Provincial Bar Councils joint meeting.

The lawyers’ community leaders accorded a warm reception to CM Mohsin Naqvi on his arrival at the Punjab Bar Council and presented him flowers. Member Pakistan Bar Council Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, Member Pakistan Bar Council Ahsan Bhawan, Advocate General Punjab Khalid Ishaq, Vice Chairman Punjab Bar Council Basharatullah Khan, Chairman Executive Committee Punjab Bar Council AsifShahzad Chaudhry, Chairman IPBCR Committee Punjab Bar Council FarhanShahzad, Member Pakistan Bar Council Tahir NasrullahWaraich and lawyers community leaders from Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh participated in the inter-provincial bar councils joint meeting. Secretary Public Prosecution, Commissioner Lahore, CCPO and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
