American manufacturer of telecommunications equipment and software Cisco has decided to gradually curtail all its activities in Russia and Belarus. This was reported by Reuters, citing a company statement.
The company said in a statement:
We have made a decision to begin a systematic winding down of business in Russia and Belarus. <...> We will contact customers, partners and suppliers directly to resolve our financial matters, including refunds of upfront fees for services and software.
In March, Cisco suspended business operations in Russia, including sales and services. As Reuters now reports, Western companies have begun to accelerate the process of withdrawing from Russia.
Today also Microsoft President announcedthat the company will gradually reduce its business in Russia until there is nothing left in the region.
